I ran into this recipe while browsing internet for another. During the summer break last year, my mother and I were reading a book that chronicled lives of one Sephardic family before and during WWII. It included descriptions of food, among other things. This time it's some Yoda cookies I made for a picnic :)

The cutters could be found at Williams & Sonoma last year (they might still be sold online somewhere though), and I added matcha green tea powder to my standard sugar cookie dough to give it the right colour!

These little guys turned out so cute, everyone loved them!

Yep, these are just like the original Girl Scout thin mint cookies, but better. And I mean it! They're crisp and cool, intensely chocolatey but light tasting from the peppermint. Give them a try, they're worth it.
